Today, actively developing project of the Common Republican Processing Centre (CRPC) – the portal of Internet payments «Woy-wo’» allows to integrate in one space the suppliers and consumers of different goods and services.  

Currently, about two hundred suppliers already signed agreements and render services through this portal. Including Internet-providers, mobile operators of the Republic of Uzbekistan, large retail stores, insurance companies, online TV service providers, educational centers, drugstores, and others.

Users of «Woy-wo’» know that almost in every week on this portal dozens of new suppliers are connected.  Now through the payment portal You will be able to pay goods and services of the following suppliers:

Cancellation of cash: countries cease to print money

Most actively in the countries of Scandinavia refuse hard cash. According to Bloomberg edition, Central Bank of Denmark stopped a seal of banknotes and by the end of December will close the last mint. Not only Denmark aims to remove hard cash from turnover, such attempts are done by Sweden and Norway, as well. European Central Bank, Venezuela and India aim to reduce quantity of cash in turnover too, especially it concerns banknotes of high face value which are often used by swindlers.

Let's remind, on November 9, 2016 the government of India withdrew from circulation of the note of 500 and 1,000 rupees. Initiative is aimed at fight against tax avoidance and gradual liquidation of «the black market».

Prime minister of the country Narendra Modi took the population unawares, having declared that all notes of 500 and 1,000 rupees have to be handed over in banks until the end of the year. It became real challenge for 40% of the population as they have no access to banking. Notes which will be withdrawn from circulation make about 86% of all notes in India.

Many countries gradually move to cashless payments, but indisputable leaders in a cashless-race are the countries of Scandinavia. Bloomberg edition notes that Denmark and Sweden are the countries in which the share of cash in turnover is at the lowest level.

Among basic reasons of refusal of cash:

– fight against fraud;

– expense reduction on service of payments;

– desire of merchant to move to cashless payments.

1. Sometimes it's urgently necessary to check balance of the card, but from time to time in a click arise mistakes during processing a request. Is there any alternative option of checking balance?

It’s possible to check card balance also by other methods. For example, with the help of mobile version of payment portal Woy-Wo’. If SMS-notification service is connected to your mobile number, it’s enough to dial short number *899# and learn balance of your card.

2. After updating does not come into the Woy-Wo’ mobile application?

Due to addition of new functions and change of structure of work of a mobile application, for successful work of a new Woy-Wo’ version, you need to remove old version, and then to establish the new.

3. What innovations in the Woy-Wo’ mobile application?

How countries of the world move to cashless payments

In the world there are two main drivers of development of cashless payments – banks and operators.

In the world the tendency of transition to cashless payment of goods and services is observed, which is not surprising taking into account that how quickly and in what volume and the range Internet services blossom. Some countries refuse cash quickly and without serious consequences, others – conservatively are rather afraid and hesitate. In this article it is told about how in the different countries of the world cashless payments won the market.

Trends

In the world there are two main drivers of development of cashless payments – banks and operators.

Positions of banking applications and services are predictably strong in the highly developed countries like the USA, Canada, and the European states. At each country where cashless payments became popular, has their own reasons and stories, but everywhere result is one – growth, growth and once again growth of number of transactions, users, means. 

Sweden

Sweden – one of the most developed European countries, the frequenter of tops of ratings of a level of living. Here the banking system, cashless payments, network of terminals over all country which accept them, and services for contactless payment of all things is perfectly developed. Even the homeless on city streets is ready to make of non-cash transactions. The main engine of cashless payments in the country – the Swish application which account 40% of residents of the country. According to information, for the last year through the application 9 million transactions were made. 
Swish developed the main banks of Sweden. It allows to transfer money to the account to other subscriber, just specifying its phone number and the amount.
Not only large sales outlets moved to the cashless payment. In Sweden without bank card or a mobile application it is impossible to purchase the ticket for public transportation. Small sales outlets can refuse purchase of any nonsense, motivating it with the fact that they do not accept cash. Cases when services industry objects at first refused acceptance of cash are known, then they returned to this practice again. But it does not cancel a tendency – the population of Sweden prefers not to fiddle around with money.

Denmark

Denmark declared the intention to become the non-cash country – such talk goes since 2015. In general, the situation in all countries of Northern Europe more or less similar – they already have sufficient infrastructure for payment transfer to the electronic world. Banks release applications which allow paying easily without cash. In 2012 in Denmark 84,2% of transactions fell to the share of cards and e-wallets. In 2013 Danske Bank, the largest commercial bank of Denmark, released the MobilePay application – potential users already were morally and are technology ready to such kind decision. In the first day of MobilePay loaded 25000 users. Now at the application already 3 million users (the population of Denmark – 5,7 million inhabitants).

POS-terminal for plastic card payments: What are the advantages?

The main advantage of any plastic card – 24/7 access to your money and ability of real-time management of your expenses. Using of plastic cards in our daily life, empowers many of our people, freely and easily make payments for goods and services without any need for cash.

The very procedure of payment at retail store, restaurant and café using bank plastic cards is enough confortable and effective.

Therefore recently trend for wider acceptance of POS-terminals becoming incremental at many outlets, starting with huge supermarkets, ending with mom-and-pop shops, petrol stations, fast-food shops. ERROR CONDITION: YOUR ACTIONS

During “Payment” operation at sales point, there may occur error conditions due to:

  1. Prematurely ejecting card form customer card-reader;
  2. Loss of connection between POS-terminal and processing center;
  3. Disconnecting POS-terminal from electricity.

 

In such situations there may occur error conditions and POS-terminal may issue a receipt with “Denied” message on it. If cardholder is subscribed to SMS-notifications, the mobile phone may receive SMS message about successful transaction. Merchant should make “Revise total” operation and basing on the outcome do appropriate actions. It is necessary to check the balance, in order to know whether money have returned.

In order to avoid the failure of security of “UZCARD” IPS, retail and service companies (RSC) must ensure and organize execution of following rules by its staff:

 

  •   To “Revise total” of POS-terminal of RSC and keep collection cheques;
  •   To keep safe POS-terminal and its supplementary elements (wireless modem, etc.) from loss and falling into hands of unauthorized persons;
  •   Strictly follow the rules: of interacting with POS-terminals; serving cardholder; exploitation and safety.
  •   Provide timely refreshment of information/advertising materials of “UZCARD” IPS, displaying them on visible places in the zone of service to cardholders.
  •   Not to ask for PIN code (password) of plastic card from cardholder.
  •   In case of any problems occurring with cardholder during execution of operations with POS-terminal, render help to this cardholder in resolving these problems, and if it is not possible to deal with problem on his own, promptly contact with bank workers to get further instructions to coup with the error.
  •   To inform cardholder about importance of keeping receipts of operations made on POS-terminals in safety.
  •   To make sure that POS-terminal is printing legible receipts: operations of cardholder, revise total, list of POS-terminal’s operations.
  •   To store all receipts: operations done by plastic cards, revise totals, list of operations of the POS-terminal along with other financial and accounting documents of the shop.
  •  To retain plastic cards of cardholders which were defined by POS-terminal as cards from STOP-LIST, for further handing them over to bank.
  •   To urgently inform bank about any cases of attempts of cardholders to commit fraudulent actions using plastic cards.
  •   In case of return of the good/service paid by plastic card of cardholder, to fill in commerce cheque for payment reimbursement (reimbursement of payment is made from POS-terminal with “abort operation” entry).
  •   Not to raise the price of good/service if it is paid by plastic card.
